Hi everyone and welcome to The Resounding Bell, a series of seven episodes that brings together five teenagers with a council of older women. We are all connected to the local areas of Peckham and Camberwell.
Together, we range from 14 to 94 years old. The oldest member of the group’s parents were born in 1870 and the youngest of the group is born in 2003.
Inspired by a practice known as seventh generational guardianship, the teenagers and the council of women explore stories and questions, thinking about our effect on the world.
Over a weekend in July, we came together to the newly furnished Fire Station to encounter each other and reawaken the historic site of call and response with our voices.
